We are Family, a Mother's Lament-- Babies 34 and 35!

Poor Thomas sometimes just got way overwhelmed, and had to go into a quiet dark room to calm down.

Maya was super excited to grow up, but she knew that she would have to wait for her siblings first.

 Andy and Anna were first.

W.O.W.  Anna still looks remarkably like her aunt, and Leiah can't wait to see Anna as a Young Adult so that she can compare just how similar the two really are.

Yes, Andy still also looked like her grandfather.  Neither of the twins really got any of Leiah's genetics.  At least, not in looks.

Maya was getting so anxious that she was bubbling over getting ready to grow up, so Leiah finally let her.

Maya wanted to be a rockstar.  Which was a HUGE surprise considering how quiet and introverted she was as a child and teenager.  Her updo would be formal for everybody else, but for her, it totally went with her rockstar style.

 "Ready to age up Matthias?"

Yep, he was a cutie.  Leiah was eternally grateful that he didn't look like his father...Whoever that was...He was a mini, boy version, of his mother.  The fact that he was a vampire though really didn't help Leiah, because if he was human, she would know who the father was.  But now Leiah doesn't know if Matthias is half human/half vampire, or if he was full vampire.

Camryn was a smiley, smart young lad, and very protective of his brother.

Leiah tried to get a good picture of Thomas, but everytime the camera went off the poor boy would flinch and turn away.  Rest assured that he does look exactly like his mother though.

Maya was immediately offered a job, playing at a few clubs in Bridgeport, so Leiah hugged her daughter goodbye.  It was always hard, but you had to let the baby bird fly.

So, the kids had been complaining that their beds were uncomfortable, and Leiah had to agree.  She liked the look of these beds when she was originally decorating, but she totally forgot that the mattresses were thin, full of springs, and cheap.

So here are the boys' new beds!

 Here are the girls'...

While Leiah hated being a vampire, she was going to take full advantage of the time that she was one, she was going to build her painting skill.

Andy, spurred by creativity, decided to try out the guitar.  She was actually really good.

Leiah hated hated HATED having to sleep during the day when all her kids were up.  It drove her crazy.  Sorry for the strong language, but she really did "dislike it with a passion".

Leiah did all the research she could to find a cure from being a vampire.  She looked through the internet.

 And through numerous books.

She felt like the only one who could understand her was Matthias, and so she spent a lot of time with him.

She would watch TV with him, and he would crawl under her bed to watch it, getting a laugh from his mommy.  Which of course probably just made him want to do it all the more.

Matthias LOVED  his teddy bear.  He could play with it all day long if allowed.

But then Matthias would bite his bear's neck.  Oh goodness, Leiah was afraid that he would be like his father/uncle.  Which, was still unknown.

But then he would look up and smile at Leiah as if to say "But I'm cute, you can't be mad at me!"  He could talk a little, but he didn't say anything, he just smiled.

He was right too, Leiah couldn't be mad at him.  Especially because he would pet his bear gently with a smile and say "Good beary-bear."  Just as long as he doesn't go around stealing plasma from the hospital when he grows up.

Leiah couldn't let him play for long however, she needed to take him to the doctor.  For peace of mind for her, and probably peace of mind for him when he grew older.  The doctors said they had a test to see whether Matthias was 100% vampire, or only 50%.

So Leiah headed to the hospital, even though it was the daytime.

The trip turned out to not be such a great idea.  The regular doctors were too busy to get them in, and the emergency room wouldn't take them because they weren't an emergency.  By the time Leiah stomped back home, she was roasting.  Literally.  She had under-estimated the power of the sun on a vampire.  A cloud of black smoke emanated from her body, and her left cheek kept sparking!

After she let Matthias down to play, she took a cool bath, to hopefully soothe her burning skin.

Once she was clean and feeling better, Leiah decided it was time to give Matthias a bath.  He was getting a little "ripe" as well.

When it was dark, and the rest of Leiah's kids were in bed, she got Matthias and called the new hospital in town for an appointment.

"Great, so I'll be there in an hour..."

This hospital was GREAT for several reasons.

1.  They allowed pictures inside the hospital, the other one didn't allow cameras anywhere near the premises.
2.  hi!
3.  They were OPEN at 2 AM.  Leiah guessed this was because they didn't really have much business yet.
5.  They were super accepting of the fact that Leiah and her son were vampires.
8.  They were super accepting of the fact that Leiah was doing the 100 baby challenge.
1.  You probably didn't notice I skipped number 4.
9.  Or that I skipped from 5 to 8.
10.  Or that there aren't really 10 things on here.
11.  Or 11 things.
12.  Or that after 8 I went back to 1, then back to 9.
13.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

There weren't many people there.  Just one man walking around, with a long white coat and blue scrubs.  Leiah guessed he was the doctor.

The other person was the woman in pink scrubs doodling around at her computer.  Leiah guessed that she was the nurse.

Leiah checked in at the desk, even though it probably didn't matter.

Then sat down and "waited" for the doctor to come.

After "agonizing" "endless hours" of waiting, the doctor came.  That's right, it was 3 seconds.  Leiah counted.

"Just come right down the hall here."
The doctor actually WAS kind of cute.

The doctor took a sample of...Well, Leiah wasn't quite sure what it was, since it wasn't blood...  Vampire juice?

Turns out, Matthias is 100% vampire.  WHICH means, yes.  Leiah know knew the baby daddy.  The vampire.  The one who turned her.  That freaking bas***d

Leiah looked into his eyes as he explained all this to her, Matthias was now playing in the waiting room with the shiny new toys.  Usually Leiah would go all "Momma duck" on the toys and disinfect every one of them, but she was pretty confident that they hadn't been used before.  Suddenly, an idea popped into her head.

Leiah smiled and turned on her flirty charm.
"So, Dr. Alex...  Could I come back tomorrow?"

 At first, Alex was confused.
"What for?  Are you...Oh."

Realization seemed to wash over him, and he practically melted.  Leiah realized that she had been unintentionally controlling his mind.  Man, this vampire stuff was terrible!

It eased her fears however that he sealed his decision without her powers, when he kissed her, after she had let her power down.

He..took her to the one double bed in the whole hospital...they did their business...  So yes, ladies and gentleman, Leiah Mistoffelees woohoo'ed in a hospital.  Get over it.

Afterwards, they both slept.

However, Leiah hazily heard Alex get up in the middle of the night, walking around the room with his head in his hands, muttering "What have I done, what have I done?!"

Turns out, the nurse, Tricia, was Alex's sister.  She of course knew what was going on too, because Alex asked her to watch over Matthias, as, him and Leiah had some, er, "business" to attend to.  Yeah, business.

Leiah met him downstairs, where she tried to calm him down, whatever was bothering him.  Turns out, he felt bad for just sleeping her.  He felt like he just took advantage of her.

"THAT'S what's wrong?!"  Leiah said in disbelief.

She hugged him, he was so sweet.

"Alex, it's okay.  I'm doing the 100 baby challenge, I'm supposed to sleep with a bunch of different men, I knew what I signed up for."

Leiah told him.

"It's just, after your story of your last pregnancy, I feel like you're a woman scorned or something poetic like that."
Leiah gave him a gentle kiss, he really was sweet.

Leiah tried to make him feel better, and let him know that she was alright, by cuddling with him.  That, and some vampire mind powers didn't hurt.

All of a sudden, Leiah got an extreme urge to drink his blood.  She was about too, but she caught herself just in time.

She immediately moved away and ate a plasma fruit.

Alex seemed much happier in the morning.

Matthias did too.  By the time Leiah was up, he was happily drinking his breakfast.

It was getting late in the morning already though, and Leiah had been gone all night.  She needed to get back home.

Thank goodness for vampire speed, because no sooner had she gotten home than she had to vomit.

 Vomit she did.

She was "brushing her fangs" when she got another craving for blood.

There had to be more than one baby, early morning sickness and extra cravings.

"Ugh, this is so hard, I wish I was just in special-ed classes with Thomas."
Camryn said sadly as he tried to figure out his homework.

 Leiah appeared in a flash.
"No you don't Camryn, Thomas's classes are just as hard for him as your classes are for you."
Leiah reprimanded as Camryn guiltily put away his notebook.

Leiah figured that if she couldn't do things with her family, she could at least make them good meals.

So she made a family favorite.  Mac n' cheese.

Much to her happiness, the Mac n' Cheese turned out perfectly.

She also wanted to make sure that the house was as clean as possible.

While all the kids were at school, usually Leiah slept.  But she couldn't sleep, so she taught Matthias his skills.

Of course, him being a vampire baby, he learned how to potty quickly.

He easily mastered walking as well.

It was nighttime once again, and Leiah sadly stared at the pool.  She had promised the kids a pool day.  She couldn't do it with them now.

Leiah was talking on facebook chat with her fellow mamma's, when Amber mentioned something about a "Vampire B gone" potion.  Leiah was giddy.  She excitedly asked about it, and learned that there was a potion that could turn a vampire into a human at the science center.  BUT, it wasn't pregnancy safe.  Which meant that Leiah had to wait.

She was so happy.  She could be a human again!

Speaking of babies, yes babies, they seem to be making their appearance.

Going along with that whole "needing to feel like a good mother" scheme, Leiah made some hotdogs.

 However, she burnt them.

She sadly washed everything, trying to make up for the burnt hotdogs.

 So she cleaned.

Leiah's pregnancy was going quite well, the babes were growing quickly.

Matthias was also doing well, Leiah was starting to teach him how to talk.

With pregnancy, comes back pain.  Leiah knew she was getting to the end of her pregnancy.

She had promised Alex that she would have the babies at his hospital, so she headed over there to wait to go into labor.  She certainly wouldn't be able to get over there WHILE she was in labor.

She laid in her hospital bed and waited.

After taking a quick shower, a sharp pain stretched across her abdomen.

She quickly got upstairs, trying to not make too much noise.  She gripped her stomach in pain--  Alex and Tricia were both asleep.  Even though they were doctors, and supposed to be helping her, she didn't have the heart to wake them up.

A few hours later, the Mistoffelees family was blessed with two tiny, precious, additions.  Baby 34, Abigail Mistoffelees.

 And baby 35, Arianna Mistoffelees.

Alex wanted them to stay in the hospital for a little while, just because as being twins, they were a little small.  So the kids came and visited them.  Anna was especially crazy over the girls.

When Leiah brought them home at first, Matthias was a little less than ecstatic.

He kept throwing his head back and making a big fuss.  Who were these tiny little alien people, and why is his mommy paying so much attention to them?

Luckily, once Leiah showed him his sister while he was snuggled in his arms, he calmed down.

"Say hi to your new little sisters Matthias."

Matthias just sucked his thumb and muttered.
"Hi babies..."

However, there was something Leiah had to get done.  Now.  So she quickly fed Matthias his bottle and enlisted the girls to help take care of their younger siblings.

Leiah quickly headed to the science lab as the sun went down.

She came out, thinking, this would be her last few moments as a vampire.

She grabbed the new potion though, not regretting at all her decision.

The potion didn't exactly smell the best, and she knew it wouldn't taste very good, but she plugged her nose and got it over with.

She was surrounded in a bright red light and black bats came out of her body.

Her mouth fell open as her hand moved to caress her skin.  It was warm.

Once she got home, she immediately checked herself out.  No fangs.

 Warm skin.

 And NO glowing eyes!

Leiah couldn't wait to feel the sun, but it was still nighttime and she definitely wasn't ready to go to bed.  So she painted.

 She even played the piano!

As the sun rose, Anna came to listen.

She was truly a momma's girl.  Nevermind that she looked exactly like her dad; her likes and dislikes, flaws, gifts, they were all exactly Leiah's personality.

Leiah had gotten two small cribs, sort of like the hospital's nursery cribs.

She took Matthias, Abigail, and Arianna outside to enjoy the sun; while the rest of the family had a fun in the sun day!

Everybody got into the pool, and Leiah was so happy just to feel.  She always took for granted her sensory organs, but she really could.  She could feel.  She could see more clearly, she could hear more clearly, she could TASTE.

More happy news is that Thomas is not as bad as we thought.  He still has autism, sure, but it's a high-functioning form of it.  He has Aspergers Syndrome.

Camryn was having fun with his more responsive brother.  It's like Thomas was smart all along, but just succumbed to the stereotype that he was given when diagnosed with Autism.  He was acting more "normal".

Anna and Andy had a contest to see who could hold their breath the longest.  Leiah grabbed her underwater camera and snapped this shot of them.

The boys got out and played in the sprinkler.

While, Leiah and her girls soaked it up in the hottub.

Leiah made hotdogs for lunch again, but this time, they were perfect.  All the kids insisted on eating outside, but Leiah wanted to eat inside.

After lunch, all the kids continued to play, and Leiah sat in her lawn chair.  She soaked up the sun, and watched them play.

The girls were having all kinds of contests on the trampoline, it was quite funny.

Thomas really was smarter than everyone thought.  He loved going down the slide, and Camryn and him would always laugh and make jokes to each other.

As the sun set on a glorious day, Anna and Andy headed back into the hottub, and Leiah swang on the swingset with Camryn and Thomas.

Camryn liked to pretend he was the "Great overseer".  Man was he cute.

To finish off the perfect day, the whole family, minus the little ones, roasted marshmallows.  Camryn of course, was a little sugar monster and wanted three.  Leiah couldn't say no.

Leiah made hers perfectly, having some practice.

Camryn's however, didn't go so well.  They started on fire.  He looked at them in disgust, but tried them anyways.
He was shocked to discover that they were actually pretty good burnt.

Thomas was surprised when his caught on fire too.

But he too, tried them and liked them.

The girls were old enough to not let their marshmallows get on fire.

While the rest of the family was enjoying marshmallows, Matthias happily toddled along the yard.

It was getting late, and Leiah sent her kids to bed.  Surprisingly, no grumbling ensued, and they all peacefully slept within minutes.

Leiah got Abigail and Arianna from their cribs and brought them inside, and made sure Matthias got inside.

Soon, it was just Leiah and Matthias.  She finished teaching him how to talk.

The next morning, Leiah promised her kids breakfast at the diner.  She called a babysitter for the three littlest, and took the older ones.

They came out, and were all super full.  Leiah rubbed her stomach.

"Ick, I don't think I'll ever eat again."

Everybody else nodded their agreement, and Anna rubbed her stomach along with her mother.

Next, Leiah took the kids to see Despicable Me.

The boys loved it the best, the girls just had fun flirting with other guys in the theater.  Oh well.

After making sure Camryn and Thomas got home on their bikes safely, Leiah took Anna and Andy to the spa.

They came out, all three rested and very relaxed.  This had been the best weekend of Leiah's life; and walking out to their car, Leiah realized something.  They could do this every weekend.

I hope you enjoyed my post, and I also hope that you don't think I copied anybody.  I have been working on this post for a long time, and things keep popping up in other people's challenges that I didn't want to have to erase from here, but are similar.  I pretty much just wanted to see how Leiah looked as a vampire, and decided to add a little drama in doing so.  I feel that writing these posts is making me a better writer, and I love doing them and having them read.  But, if you really truly think I copied someone, and have a big problem with it, please message me on facebook and I'll delete this post.(Or just the parts that seem copied)
