No Pain, No Gain-- Babies 42 and 43!

I would like to thank sunsetvalleygurl for gifting me the Over the Shoulder Braid from the store!  I'm working on a laptop now so I couldn't get a screenshot, but I wanted to make sure and thank you.  :)

**********************************************************************************

Leiah stood sadly looking at what her new life was to be.  How could things change so quickly?

1 week earlier

Leiah dropped her shopping bags in horror.  Her kids were walking around aimlessly and coughing.  She did a quick head count, everybody was alive and seemed not to be hurt.  But her house was definitely hurt.  She stood in front of a large pile of waste that the firemen had pushed together.  H..How?  Why?  After a brief and not so sweet talk to the firemen, she found out that her house had started on fire, and even though she had a fire alarm, the firemen got there too late.

Leiah looked over at her kids.  Now what?  Where would they live, where would they go?  That's when Leiah realized something.  Her money.  She had left most of it underneath her bed, not trusting a bank to keep it.  She had put a little bit in the bank, but not much.

That's where this house came along.  Leiah had to hastily buy a home for her and her kids, but it had to be cheapSure, it was small, and...a shack, but it would have to do.  It also had to be in Sunset Valley, because all the houses in Twinbrook were taken.

That, ladies and gentlemen, leads us back to Leiah sullenly standing there.  They were just moving in, after spending most of the week in a couple of tents.  And yes, no money means no hair dye, her purple had washed out.

The house was tiny, and Leiah had to shove things wherever they would go

For instance; in the entryway, there was a crib, a bed, and a dining table.

Leiah had to prematurely grow little Tylar because it was unsafe to move a little baby so much, he was much stronger and safer as a toddler.

After realizing that there was a shortage of cribs, Leiah also had to grow up the triplets.  Yvonne was a gorgeous child, she had round cheeks and big gray eyes with Leiah's purple and brown hair.

Clara was such a cutie patooty, even though she hated her ears and always did her hair so that it would cover them.

Lara was...wow.  She was the most girly of the three, and insisted that she get her ears pierced.  Leiah relented and asked the other two if they wanted their ears pierced, but they didn't.  So for now, Lara is different than her sisters.

Everybody barely fit, all the beds were taken, and one girl slept with Leiah.

Even though they were bored, everybody seemed to make the most of it.  Leiah found these two talking to each other and making up stories early in the morning.  They are too cute!

That day, they were all going to get out of the house for a fun day.  It had been a stressful week and it was time now to have fun.

Clara fell into the pool when they got there.  Although she was a little embarrassed, she wasn't hurt at all.

The water was very soothing to Leiah, pushing through it felt like she was wading through her problems and leaving them behind.

After having their share of fun at the pool, the kids wanted to go to the park.  In Sunset Valley, there was a nice big park in the middle of town, so that's where they all headed.

There, Leiah met a man by the name of Iqbal Alvi.  He wanted to be a father in her challenge.  Leiah told him nicely that she would love for him to be a father, but it wasn't the right time to have another baby at the moment.

Leiah also saw a cute little boy with a treat stand, and he was too cute for Leiah to pass him up.

She ended up getting a yummy looking brownie, and the boy said he was "much obliged lady, much obliged."

While her kids went off to their own adventures, Leiah went fishing with Tylar toddling around her.

She stopped and pulled out a picnic blanket and basket for lunch.  All the kids happily sat down and ate, everybody talking about what they already did, and what they were going to do.  Tylar didn't quite get in the picture, but he was close by sucking on a bottle, don't worry.

Leiah hoped to get all the food eaten before the ants came, but that didn't seem to happen.

Lara ran off to be on the swingset, which was her favorite.

Leiah wasn't quite positive where the rest of the kids went, but she trusted that they were safe and they knew what they were doing.  So Leiah took advantage of the beautiful day and large space and taught Tylar how to walk.

After learning how to walk, Leiah set to teaching Tylar how to talk...  Or at least she tried.  He seemed more interested in picking his bugars.

"Yes Tylar, those are bugars..."  She told her son, a little bit disgusted.

Even though it was disgusting, it was actually kind of cute.

It was late though, and time to go home.  She packed up her picnic basket, grabbed Tylar, and let the rest of the kids know it was time to go.

Little Tylar didn't seem to want to go home though, and he was making the most pitiful faces.

Once home, Leiah had a surprise for the kids; she had scraped together just enough money to buy a little TV.  She put it in her room, knowing that her room would be constantly flocked with her kids, but she was okay with that.

Tylar was just the cutest thing when he learned how to use the potty.

"I did it mommy!"  He shouted proudly.

Another new development was all the laundry.  Before, she had just had a dry cleaning service take care of washing her and her kids' clothes.  But now, there was no money for that, and that had to be done by them.  Good thing Flor was very helpful.

If they weren't watching TV, the children were playing with the toys.  Poor kids were so bored.

Trying to be economical, Leiah got a clothes line.  It took a little longer for the clothes to dry, but they smelled wonderful and it was more economical.

The kids were good with their imaginations.  Liam and Flor always played cops and robbers.  Liam was the robber.

Flor was the cop.

WHY must the kids just throw their clothes on the ground?  Couldn't they at least put them in the hamper?

All four of the girls were very close.  Don't be confused by Clara looking like she's jealous, they were showing each other what the popular girls did at school.  See, Yvonne and Flor are laughing, and Clara is walking by like the bullied one.

Everytime she used the oven, Leiah prayed to llamas sake that this house wouldn't start on fire.  If her old one had started on fire with an expensive oven, this one had an even greater risk with a cheap old oven.

Luckily, there was no harm done and Leiah successfully made herself some waffles.

Brushing her teeth, Leiah couldn't help but think yet again how much her life had changed.

Like always making beds, her children seemed to have become more messy when they moved.
Having to put toys away hasn't changed though.

At least the clothes were dry.

Leiah cuddled her son, savoring his baby-ness.  Normally, she would be pregnant right now, but she wasn't in the right place to have another baby right now.

Flor had a cru-ush!  It was a guy that had come home with her almost every day from school.  Right now they were "just friends", but Leiah knew that wouldn't be long.

He seemed like a good guy, but Leiah just wanted to make sure.

"Listen, if you EVER hurt my daughter, you're going to be in huge trouble!"
He looked at her, seemingly worried.

"Ms. Mistoffelees...Ma'm...I would never do anything to intentionally hurt your daughter."

Flor cut in quickly after that.

"Thank you mother!"

"Hey, I'm sorry about my mom.  She can be, a little overprotective."  Flor told him.

He grinned at Flor.

"It's cool, she just cares about you.  You're lucky to have such a great mom."
He replied.

Flor smiled back at him.
"Yeah, I do love her like crazy, she can just be a bit much sometimes."

The conversation was done there, and he asked for one of her special back rubs.  Flor had really strong hands and knew how to give a great back rub!

All of a sudden, he took her hand.

"Flor, will you be my girlfriend?"

One of the downfalls to living in a tiny house was that there is no personal space.

"Say yes!"  All four intruders shouted.

Flor shut her eyes and bit her quivering lip to keep herself from laughing.

"Yes!"  She finally said, and then let herself laugh.

Ahhh young love, it's so refreshing.  Lara was giggling and Yvonne was trying to keep a straight face.

"Guys, stop teasing her, she LOVES him!"  Clara asserted.  That left a brand new round of laughter.

After that little fun display, they all relaxed finally and turned on the TV.

Liam didn't let it last long though, he was tired of being called "little man" and wanted to grow up.

Flor admitted that she did too, she was tired of homework.

So here's the handsome young Liam.  He was a little bit chubby, but had the perfect build for a footballer.

"So, brother, how does it feel to be old?"
Clara asked.

Liam thought it was a silly question, but Clara's seriousness was too much for him to not humor her.

"It's very liberating, I really like the view up here."
He said, acting seriously.

Flor was so darn gorgeous that it almost wasn't fair.  Now that she was grown up, Leiah could see that Flor had a lot of Leiah's features in her face.  Leiah sent a picture to Juan, and he couldn't believe it either.  He kept asking Leiah "how?  How could she be my daughter?"

She also definitely did not get any of her father's chubby genes.

Liam really didn't want to be in football, he wanted to play baseball.  He always had Leiah outside playing catch with him.

The next morning, Leiah had a talk with Flor.

"Honey, I love you, but you need to get out."

Flor laughed and nodded.

"I know mom, I get it."

All of a sudden, Flor wrapped her mom in a big hug.

"Thank you so much for being the best mom ever."

"Ohhh honey, I'm going to miss you."
Leiah replied.

With that, Flor was gone.

Liam was at the gym, trying to lose some weight.  Leiah insisted that he was perfectly healthy the way he was, but he really wanted to be a skinny baseball player.  He wasn't doing so well on the treadmill though.

He didn't have to be embarrassed though, because the lady next to him didn't seem to be doing any better.

Liam looked at himself in the mirror, he was getting closer to the body he really wanted.

He really didn't want to go home to his cramped house, so he stayed awhile and took a shower.

Finally he came home and went to bed.

The next morning, Tylar was all of a sudden a child.  Leiah was confused, she hadn't thrown him a birthday party, he had just aged up.  She asked him if he did anything, and he swore that he didn't.  Leiah believed him, and when he asked for a haircut, quickly gave him one.

Needless to say, he was super adorable.

But Leiah was REALLY confused.  She even asked the local smart kid, Malcolm Landgraab.

"I'm sorry Ms. Mistoffelees, but the science behind the quantum theory of physics just doesn't seem to apply here.."

That's smart kid talk for:  I don't know either.

Leiah got inside just in time to see Lara jumping up with sparkles surrounding her.  WHAT is going on?

Clara was bent over in pain too, as sparkles came over her.

Guess what, Yvonne was spinning into a teenager as well!

Well, here's Lara.  She did her hair the same as she did it as a child.  She hadn't wanted to grow up, so she was trying to recapture her youth.  Which is funny, because she was always trying to act older when she was younger.

Yvonne was also very pretty, but she said that she was ready to grow up.

Finally, Clara.  Little miss unique, she finally accepted her ears, and allowed them to be shown.  She kind of even embraced the whole thing.

Her babies were all grown up now, and Leiah didn't quite know what to do.  She was missing having little babies around the house.  She still didn't get what had happened to her kids that they grew up, but Leiah did know that she was going to get pregnant.

A man named Chris P. Bacon had Emailed her, and in her rush, Leiah had forgotten about Iqbal.  So Chris it was.

They spent some time in his living room getting to know each other.  Yes, they were sitting on separate sides of the room.

"So, what do you like to do, Chris?"

"Well, I just LOVE computers, I couldn't live without a computer."  He replied excitedly, going off about something about computers.

After a while, she got him standing up...  While standing *gasp* close to her!

"So, Chris, do you have a girlfriend?"
He obviously doesn't have a wife, or she would've figured it out by now.

He laughed and just shook his head, then got a big solemn.
"No.  I've never had a girlfriend.  Heck, I've never kissed anybody."

"Oh Chris..."  Leiah said, embracing him.

All of a sudden, she went in for the kill.  She kissed him with as much passion as she could muster up, trying to make his first kiss memorable.  At first, he seemed tense, but then she could feel him relaxing.

He blushed after she pulled away.
"Th...Th..Thank you Leiah."

To further relax him, Leiah did what she does best.  She gave him an amazing massage.

Once she was done, he pulled away and blushed.  Oh boy, this was going to be difficult.

But, he surprised her and brought her and quickly brought her to his bedroom, where baby 42 was conceived.

His pajama shirt was so cute, she couldn't help but take a picture of it.

When she got home, Leiah found MORE love in the air!  What, was it a full moon or something?  Mortimer Goth was there, and Lara and him definitely liked each other.  But they remained friends.

Leiah left them alone, knowing that Mortimer came from a good family, and Lara would do well by him.  Instead, she came to the less than pleasant task of paying the bills.

She also had to do guess what..  More laundry!

Mortimer and Lara were on Leiah's bed watching TV, but because their little brother was in the room, and they were still just friends, Leiah felt safe that nothing would happen.

Lara was so cute that Leiah started snapping pictures with her camera.  Lara was really annoyed and not masking her feelings.

Finally she decided to humor her mom and gave her a smile.  Such a gorgeous girl!

Leiah quickly put down the camera and ran to the bathroom as she tried to breathe through her nausea.

It didn't really work though, and she ended up praying to the porcelain throne.

She tiredly brushed her teeth.  She really wanted to go to bed, but it wasn't looking like that was going to happen very soon.

She still had to do the laundry, and the...Oh forget it, it can be done in the morning.

Well, except nausea kept her up.

A good hour later, Leiah was finally in bed sleeping soundly.

In the morning, Leiah had to get to all the stuff she had neglected the night before.  Such as getting the clean laundry out of the dryer.

She also had to make the beds, but that wasn't on her task list for the night before since there were bodies in those beds.

After doing some more work around the house, Leiah noticed that Yvonne was still at home.

"Yvonne!  Why aren't you at school?  I... Wait, are you getting bullied?"  She didn't want a repeat of what happened with Matthias.

Yvonne shook her head, knowing how sensitive Leiah was to the subject.
"No mom, I just didn't feel like going to school...  I thought I'd get away with it, I'm sorry."

After Yvonne got her butt to school, Leiah relaxed for a little bit, just watching TV and being lazy.

Flutters of life are always fun to feel.

The cravings are pretty fun as well.  :)  Leiah made herself some grilled cheese.

This kid is definitely going to LOVE grilled cheese.  Even though Leiah had to eat it on the toilet because the kids were home and doing their homework on the table.

She was okay with it until she realized that the toilet was clogged.  Eww!

While she was at it, she washed the sink.  A clean home is a happy home!

When Tylar found out Leiah was pregnant, he got really excited and wanted to feel her belly.

"Moooom, it's kicking me!"  Tylar said in his tattletale voice.

Leiah laughed.  "Tylar honey, it's a baby, they kick."

Life with these two is going to be fun.

Tylar walked away, and Leiah was feeling her own stomach when Lara looked at her expectantly.

"Would you like to feel too Lara?"

She nodded and was so surprised when the baby kicked.
"Woah mom, that's SO cool!"

Leiah was pooped out, and even though her daughters were in her room watching TV, Leiah was sound asleep.

Sometime in the middle of the night, Yvonne climbed into bed finally though.

Leiah woke up and hardly had a baby bump.
"Well, so much for wanting twins.."  Leiah said to herself.

Leiah took a shower to start the day off, and she is not ashamed to say that she did sing a little.

Leiah had fun talking to Liam about things before he left for the gym.  He was really very smart and knew what he was talkinga bout.

There's a little bit of a bump starting there.

Surprisingly, there was no dirty dishes, and no dirty clothes, so Leiah was actually bored!  She spent some time reading the newspaper to catch up on the current events.

Then she realized that a mother's work is indeed never done.

Even when you have your kids helping you.

Kids helping means some time to relax more!  Leiah watched Kids TV, prepping herself for another little one in the house.

Except then the sink broke and she had to go fix that.

For supper that night, Leiah took all her kids in a taxi and went to the diner in town.

"Mmm, that was so good..."  Leiah said in happiness.

There was a lady playing guitar outside, so Leiah let her kids watch for a little bit before dragging them home.

When she got into bed that night, she said goodbye to her feet.
"No hard feelings, I'll see you again soon."
Yep, Leiah talks to her feet, how very cool.

She was 100% right though, her belly was so big the next day that she couldn't see her feet if she wanted to.

Her belly wasn't the only thing getting bigger, the messes in the house were too.  The other sink had decided to break in the middle of the night and was now spurting water all over the floor.

Leiah fixed it while her kids mopped the floor.  Yay for teamwork!

She HOPED that was the end of the breaking appliances.

Poor Clara had to eat rotten cake...  Well, that didn't mean the fridge was broken, it was just cheap.

But oh yes, because karma loved a good challenge, the shower broke.

Leiah had no time to do anything about it; however, because she was in labor!  Oh joy!

She had a taxi bring her to the hospital.  No way was she going to have her baby at home with all that stress.

It was all worth it though when Leiah saw the faces of her new baby boys.

Baby 42:  Joshua Mistoffelees

Baby 43:  Jacob Mistoffelees

Leiah had just set foot in her house when her phone rang.  It was Iqbal.  In her rush to have a baby, she had forgotten about her promise to him.

"Iqbal, I'm sorry, I..."

He cut her off and yelled at her for a few minutes before hanging up.

That just left her with a sour taste in her mouth.  Sure, she had not come through on her promise, but that doesn't give him permission to yell at her like she's a 4 year old!
