One more wriner-- Baby 25

Carter had his father's darker skin color, but would he get his father's multicolored hair?

Well, we'd find out soon, because it was birthday time, and Carter was up first!

Sure enough, he looked EXACTLY like his dad. He didn't really get anything from Leiah.

Next was the New Year's babies. This is daddy Johnny's baby girl Autumn!

When Summer grew up, she had crossed eyes.

But as soon as she had done her hair, her eyes were back to normal. By normal, I mean gorgeous! She and her sister have the biggest brown eyes ever!

Then everybody got together to cheer sister Evaline on!

Here's little Evaline, all grown up! She got Leiah's hair, nose, and mouth, but her father's eyes and vampire skin color.

On the other hand, Ebony looked EXACTLY like her father. The only thing she got from Leiah was her hair color.

Then of course last, but not in the slightest the least, is Holly!

Holly was a head-turner. All the guys wanted to go out with her, she got straight A's, and was a cheerleader. Yes, a cheerleader.

Leiah had an idea, so she hopped on facebook to chat with the other 100 baby challenge mothers about it.

Leiah Aurora Mistoffelees: Hey, you guys want to have a party at my new house two days from now?

Everybody agreed that it would be fun, and Della said she'd invite her son and his wife, so the plans were made.

Then she called some people to make some arrangements.

After everything was planned, she went upstairs to go make sure everything was ready.

The pizza came, and it was time to party!

The first to arrive were Violet, Maci, Danny, Della, and Della's husband Jay.

Della went upstairs and gave Leiah a big hug.

"How are you?" Della asked.

"I'm good as can be expected for having to take care of so many kids, thank you."

Leiah had a feeling that Della didn't really want Leiah to ask how she was back, so she didn't. Della had finished her challenge, and had married the love of her life. Now, her daughter was taking on the challenge.

"You really need to meet my son."

Della said.

"I'll call him over. France!"

She continued, then yelled over to her son.

Everyone else was dancing, including Della's son.

So this was France, Della's time machine baby, just like Corrie.

"It's so nice to meet you France, your mother has said nothing but good things about you."

Satisfied, Della walked away and left them alone to talk.

"Listen, I know what my mom is trying to do."

"See, I promised her when I first grew up as a teen, that I would take part in somebody's challenge."

"But now I'm married with 3 kids, and I'm pretty sure my wife wouldn't like it. Especially because she is the jealous type."

"Honestly? I would love another father for my challenge, but I don't want you to do it if it's going to break up your marriage."

"I just... I promised my mom, and I can't go back on a promise... Nellie and I have 3 children, but after our twin girls, the doctors told her she couldn't have any more children... So I understand why she might be mad."

While they were talking, Leiah noticed that he kept looking over, he also seemed very tense and nervous.

Finally, Leiah glanced over to what France was looking at. His wife Nellie was standing there. Her back was turned to them, but her head was also turned so that it was obvious she was listening to them.

After a few uncomfortable seconds of not saying anything, France visibly relaxed and hugged Leiah. A look around the room told Leiah that he did it because Nellie had gone downstairs.

He didn't hug her for very long.

"Tell you what, call me in a couple days and I'll come over."

Then it was time for everyone to leave, including France.

A couple days later, Leiah invited France over at night. He had asked her to call her at night, because then he could sneak out while Nellie was asleep.

They went inside, and that boy wasted NO time. He immediately kissed her.

Then he picked her up with a determined look on his face.

Carried her to her room.

And, without any romantic interlude, they got to business. It was almost a welcome change to Leiah.

Back at Nellie and France's house:

Nellie had been awake when France had snuck out, so once he was gone she got up and waited for him.

When France got home, Nellie was just going to do the laundry.

So like a good husband, he followed her downstairs. He wasn't giving up until they talked about this.


He rubbed his neck to get ready for what was to come.


"Listen, Nellie, I know your mad at me, but I..."

Was she ever mad.


She blew up on him.

"I can't believe you would do this to our family!"


His face contorted, he hated this.

"Nellie, I told you, I promised my mom when I was a teenager that I would take part in one of her friend's challenges."


"So you couldn't have done that before you married me?"
She retorted with clenched fists.


"Nellie calm down! You're going to wake up Maggy and Franceen!"


"Since when did you care about our kids? If you really cared, you wouldn't have gone and slept with a slut to have a child, when you have 3 beautiful children here!"


"I'm sorry Nellie! I'm really and truly sorry!"


She just stood there and glared at him.


He squeezed his eyes shut, he loved her too much to let her go.


He couldn't stand it. He finally grabbed her and kissed her with all his love. He could feel her tense body slowly relax, and after a while she even wrapped her arms around him.


After quite a while, they both needed to breathe, so they pulled away a little bit, and just stared into each others eyes. For hours.


After a few hours, when it started getting ridiculous that they should carry on like that any longer, France got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.

"Nellie, will you marry me...Again?"


Her eyes went wide and her hand flew to her mouth. Of course they were already married, but they had been broke the first time, and not able to afford a decent ring.

This ring, was MORE than decent.

She giggled like a schoolgirl as she looked at the ring.


Then she ran into his arms.


They hugged and laughed and cried until Franceen and Maggy woke up and started crying, and it was time for Heriberto to go to school.

Back on the farm...(Leiah's house)

France called Leiah and told her that everything was good with his wife. Leiah was so glad. When she hung up the phone, she decided to put her growing hair up in a bun. It was going to only stay like this for sleepwear.


But then she decided that she needed a new look. She was a quarter of a way done with her challenge. She decided she'd change her look again at the 50th baby mark. Then again at the 75th baby and the 100th baby.


Summer had been waiting patiently for her mother to finish with her hair and makeup, and once she was done, Summer pounced.

"Mom, where do babies come from?"


Leiah had to work hard to keep a straight face and not burst out laughing. That was the quintessential kid question. Every kid wondered where babies came from.


"Honey, there are some things that you learn when you get older. This is one of them."

"Ugh, you gotta be bigger to do everything!"
She complained, but she accepted it and walked away.


Don't get your pretty new hair in the toilet Leiah! She had just been going to teach Carter how to walk when she had to go throw up. So poor Carter was stuck sitting in the bathroom while he waited for his mother.

It was quite different having vampires in the house. It wasn't just the glowing eyes, gray skin, or vampire mark on their necks, it was mostly because Leiah had to start stocking plasma in the fridge. Ick. Just as long as they didn't suck human blood.


Twas' the night of a pregnancy, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring.


Not even a mouse.

The children were nestled, all snug in their beds, while visions of sugarplums, danced in their heads.

And Mamma in her kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap.


Hi baby!

Leiah went and called her sister to come over, because while they talked on the phone all the time, they hadn't seen each other since Leiah learned that her father and sister were in town.


Whenever her sister talked, the baby would go crazy in her stomach and start fluttering around. Leiah giggled.

"Yes baby, your auntie is very excited to see you too."

While they all waited for their aunt to show up, the children were being very good and doing their homework.


Summer was always convinced that she was wrong, so she was forever erasing things.

Autumn had a little bit different approach. She would close her eyes and "Contemplate" her answer. Her words.

Carina arrived and the sisters hugged.

"So well obviously I'm pregnant."
Leiah joked.

Carina smiled and nodded.


Then her hands immediately flew to Leiah's stomach.

"We all love you little baby!"
Carina crooned as the baby went crazy at the sound of his/her's aunt's voice.


These were the moments when everything felt like everything would be okay. She loved the child inside her, she loved her sister, and she certainly loved all the rest of her kids. Her heart overflowed with all the love.

They spent a while catching up.


But it started getting late so Carina had to go home and help their father with supper.

Bebe!

Leiah was messing around on her keyboard, playing and humming a tune that seemed familiar, but she couldn't quite remember why it was familiar. After a while she realized it and stopped abruptly. It was a song her mother had sang to her when she was young.

Leiah had to stare at the wall for a few moments to re-collect herself so that she wouldn't cry.

"What are you going to look like baby?"
Leiah wondered aloud.

Holly had made salad, and even though it wasn't the best salad in the world, and it certainly was not the worst, Leiah was glad that her daughter had cooked. She was much too tired to be cooking for her family.


Leiah was going to go crazy if she didn't get out of her house.


So, even though she had a pool at home, she went to the public pool, and saw baby 1, Cory! Which was a tad bit ironic, because she had met Cory's father, Sinbad, at the exact same pool. They tried to see who could hold their breath longest.


Leiah won!


Which she found amazing because she was heavily pregnant and didn't quite have the same lung capacity that she would have had.


Leiah splashed her son playfully and they laughed.


Leiah was just getting out to sunbathe, when she saw Ian talking to...Joseph.


She ran home as fast as she could, hoping that Joseph hadn't seen her.


Belly is gettin' big. Think the baby might come soon?


Soon is right! Ow!


So Leiah took her big belly and headed on over to the hospital!


No sooner than she gotten into the hospital, she gave birth. If you're happy and ya know it clap your hands! Wait...Oh just forget it and give a warm welcome to baby 25, Alex Mistoffelees.
